Abuelgaasim Gour is full professor, and the founder of the Institute of Studies and Culture
of Peace ISCP in Sudan University of Science and Technology SUST www.sustech.edu.Well
known in Africa as professor of peace and conflict studies, with his various publications in
the field of human Rights, Peace, philosophy, dramatic criticism and Africa Indigenous
Knowledge System. He obtained PhD in political philosophy, Khartoum University 2000,
MA Philosophy, Khartoum University 1997. He graduates with honor Bachelor in the
Department of Criticism and Theater Studies, Sudan University of Science and Technology
1988, and with Honor Bachelor of Law in the faculty of law 2018 Alneelain University.
In 2005 he took advanced studies in conflict resolution in the institute of Conflict
Resolution, Resources and Researches CRI Seattle ,USA www.cri.com.
In 2007 was chosen for further studies and post doctorate by the Africa Program of United
Nations University for Peace UPEACE in Addis Ababa www.upeace.org were he worked as
academic advisor and the Arabs Program since the year of 2010.
Durin the period 2013-2020 , Prof Gour was the commissioner in charge of complaints and
monitoring in the National Commissioner of Human Rights
